Everyone was so good last night, would not have wanted to judge that with other judges, let alone on my own, so kudos to Will. GoldReed by far my favourite, they're really going to be the ones to watch next year the amount they progressed from jam nights/Winter gig to the heat and again from the heat to the semi.

For those not snowed in, what was the ordering yesterday? Did young William get it right? :O

Top three were Tamarack, Aarya, Cartwheel. So many good acts that no matter who would have ended up winning, I would've felt bad for the others. Tamarack really were on point though.

At least one good thing is with two less judges the comments should be written up super duper quickly, right?

Gutted to have missed a few of the bands after our set, unfortunately the semis clashed with another society event I was organising. I got to stay for Naga Sadhu though, you guys were tight as fuck!! Eric you didn't miss a beat and Bex that fuzz tone was shit hot. The mood is sombre in Cartwheel but I heard Tamattack smashed it, if they were half as good as they were in the heats it's thoroughly deserved.

Side-note: I know Will did the judging (kudos dude), am I right that Ian the sound guy got a say too?

We had planned for him to rank the bands and deliberate with Will, but he missed a few bands playing so in the end we just with Will's decision alone.

I feel pretty gutted for Cartwheel, you guys have been unlucky with heat of death last year with Lift Club, Shortwave, and Clapham Watch and then so close to the final this year :(
