Edgar gets in touch with a lost love and hopes for happy endings all round seem on the horizon and Lou’s own romantic life may also be set to change or will history repeat itself…? The story moves just at the right pace and the author knows when to add something to laugh or to build a tension. As always though, a story may have the JM stamp upon it, but it still stands tall as a unique, warm, touching, witty and captivating story.

Jill Mansell has been writing Sunday Times bestsellers for over twenty years, most recently Should I Tell You? It was the special relationship that develops between Edgar and Lou that made this book such an enjoyable read.Heel veel meer woorden zijn er niet aan vuil te maken, het is gewoon een heerlijk feelgood-boek om bij weg te dromen en niet te veel over na te denken. Remy was lovely and I soon realised why Lou had fell for his charms so easily the first-time round – I just hoped she trod more carefully this time!

Not forgetting an equally grumpy chihuahua to give Edgar a run for his money, and her best friend who may finally be about to get a break from an unlikely source.We also see how Lou changes how Edgar views the world and there is a beautiful moment towards the end of the book that had me in tears. Naast deze hoofdpersonages volg je ook Lou’s jeugdvriend Sammy, die graag een beroemde zanger wil worden, zijn aantrekkelijke broer Remy en een oude bekende van Edgar, een bont en boeiend gezelschap, de één sympathieker dan de ander. And just wait until you meet the deliciously dastardly Della and her dreadful children, whose avarice knows no bounds and no matter how much you shout don’t do it at this book, they move in with Edgar and Lou…So what happens next, well there’s the Keeler brothers in the picture too, …but if you want to know more…you will have to read the book and find out for yourself…yes, I am such a tease!
