Description

Naturehike is a budget tent brand, so you can’t expect it to last as long as the expedition-quality kit. That said, Naturehike tents are of much better quality than competitors of a similar price. An even bigger version of the Cloud Up 2, the Cloud Up 3 is the first version of this tent that I would recommend for two people sharing. It has only a single door and vestibule but the additional floor space means that you can bring some of your kit into the tent with you. This tent will keep you warm and dry for a weekend trip in foul weather but it’s not going to perform as well as the Hilleberg at high altitudes or in extreme climates, so don’t let appearances fool you.

If you want to get a version of the Cloud 1 with an extra vent for increased airflow and reduced condensation, you can opt for the upgraded version. The rainfly can resist up to 4000mm of water, while the bathtub-style floor will help prevent any water from seeping up through the ground. So long as you respray the waterproof coating after each heavy rainfall and use the included tent footprint, this tent should last you for many camping trips in the great outdoors. This tent has an enormous porch area, big enough to store bicycles. This can be such a relief if you’re bike touring because you can hide your precious gear out of sight, as well as keep it dry, thereby preventing rust or water damage. Just don’t forget to pitch your tent, including the guy lines, nice and taut to give yourself the best chance of resisting nasty weather. Durability

My only concern would be if you are tall. Then your feet or head might touch the walls and you’d end up wet from condensation. And, as mentioned before, the Cloud Up 2 is definitely not big enough to fit two poofy winter sleeping bags! Note that this weight is for the GRAY version of the tent. There are other versions of the tent made from a different material and weigh more! The newer version of the tent also has an extra pole, which adds a bit of weight.

WATERPROOF & WINDPROOF - with silicone taped seams and a waterproof rating of 3000MM, these tents are the pinnacle of Polyurethane coated Polyester greatness! I think the upgrade is worth the money because a build-up of moisture can be unhygienic and uncomfortable, especially on longer trips. What Do Users Think & Say About This Tent? With 4000mm+ of water resistance and 50+ UV protection, this tent will take good care of you in the summer as well as the wet and windy months. For the price, I have yet to find a better two-person tent for the great outdoors. The bathtub-style floor will help prevent water from seeping up from the ground, and the included rainfly will prevent your tent floor from scratching or wearing thin. Just like the Cloud Up 1, this tent is easy to set up, affordable, and reliable. You’ll be grateful for the extra floor space to spread out, but with only one door and vestibule, I’d recommend going for a different tent if two adults will be sharing the space. SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT - This tent is insanely light at only 1460 grams - including pegs and poles!! At the same time it has better waterproofing and is more snow resistant than it's cousins in orange and green.

I love that this tent makes exploring the outdoors more affordable. It just goes to show that you don’t need to be super rich or have the most expensive kit to get out into nature. I have yet to use the Cloud Up 2 in or on top of snow. However, I have slept in it multiple times in sub-freezing weather. The fly goes down low enough that you don’t feel wind. Condensation definitely forms on the fly, but I never had any issues with it dripping on me. The guylines’ dark color makes them easy to trip over at night—and the last thing you need is an injury when you’re lost in the great outdoors. We are discussing a really popular tent today – the Cloud Up from Naturehike. There’s a 1, 2 and 3 person Cloud Up available and today we are covering the 1 and 2 person versions. What’s the difference between the Naturehike Cloud Up 1 and the Naturehike Cloud Up 2? Well, let’s find out. This article is not a review – it’s a Naturehike Cloud Up 1 vs 2 spec comparison. Let’s dive straight in. Naturehike Cloud Up 1 vs 2 INSECT PROOF - with B3 breathable mesh, you can still ventilate your tent without 10 million mosquitoes inviting themselves in for the evening. It has some really cool features to optimize comfort. For example, small magnets are sewn into the door fabric to make coming and going as easy as possible. You can also set up a little sheltered foyer with your trekking poles by slotting them into the notches in the tent door. It’s now been over 5 years since I bought the Naturehike Cloud Up 2. It’s been on a lot of adventures with me. 🙂 Even after all of this use (and some abuse!), the Cloud Up 2 is holding up well. The zippers haven’t broken, it isn’t leaking (and I haven’t resealed the seams) and the poles are fine.

Naturehike don’t specify the length, width and height of the outer and then the length, width and height of the inner. So you have to guess whether the given dimensions refer to the outer or the inner. This probably doesn’t really matter if you’re average height, but if you’re tall, this information really matters. That said, you have to bear in mind that low-budget gear won’t be the best for extreme conditions, and it’s not reasonable to expect it to perform as well as top-of-the-range expedition gear.Design with snow skirt: It can make the tent comfortable when hiking in winter since it makes the tent more windproof, snowproof and tearproof, therefore it strengthens tent's stability and safety. The tent has a stated weight of 1.2kg / 2lb 10oz. for the 1-man. As we saw with the Naturehike Taga, there is a 2 man version that’s a little heftier at an estimated 1.3kg / 2lb 140z. During our weigh-in, the 1-man came in more or less bang-on at 1234g / 2lb 11oz. Materials The materials used to make the FlyCreek tent are definitely of a better quality than those of the CloudUp 2. However, according to what people are saying online, the difference is really negligible (again, I personally haven’t tried out the FlyCreek). The Naturehike Cloud Up is a freestanding 2-layer tent meant for 3-season use. It is available in 1P, 2P and 3P sizes.
