I knew that there must be some redeemimg quality about him dressed so beautifully and after listening to his story, I found love and respect for him.

What I learned is that when you have negative people in your life, they weight you down, keep you from moving toward what you want.I think this book was true to Fat Joe but if you’re a reader like me you may find some flaws in how it is executed as well. You could tell that he is a good guy and that choosing a life of drugs and violence wasn't his purpose. This was a decent read never been a fan of Fat Joe he has a few songs I like but again not a big fan. The Book of Jose: A Memoirby FAT JOE; Shaheem Reid is an interesting and enlightening memoir that I enjoyed. Joe's biggest hits came out when I was in college in the early 2000s so I probably represent the bulk of his readership and i have NO clue who these rappers from the Bronx are in 1992.

Even after the continuous trauma he's experienced (or caused) there's such an optimism and hope to him. He ended up in jail for not paying his taxes because of his accountant, but he also rebuilt his career after getting out.If I use the N-word on any song - say "Lean Back" or whatever song - if I had to do a clean word for the radio, it would say brother instead of the N-word. His Bronx, New York diction and slang likely works very well for his audiobook as his passion and animation come through, but I believe that for some readers it could be a bit of a turn off as far as repetition and language go.
