I have a radio it is portable I believe it’s Emerson late 50s to 60s. I believe it has five stations and one not that many the antenna is handle that you carry the radio grips. It has two areas that you put those very large batteries in one on each side. It is two-tone beige and brown and it is in working condition. I remember seeing it once in Gidget goes to the beach and other movies it’s been taken care of well, let me know what you think and maybe you have some information on it I own a three star deluxe all transistor radio. My parents had an old Audition transistor radio…the one that is built into a wood cabinet and the entire thing is made to look like an old fashioned, Early American style wall telephone. The radio does not go on, but I am quite sure it would work again for someone who knows some basic tinkering skills. There is a little wood wear to the bottom inside of it, the phone “cord” has a little fraying on it, and the phone “earpiece” has some paint wear on it. Other than those things, the entire thing is in overall pretty darn good condition. Do you know approximately what this would be worth? Thank you so much. One easy way to date a transistor radio to this period is to look for small triangles or circles between the 6 & 7 and the 12 & 16 on the dial. These are CD marks, which appeared on all radios manufactured or sold in the U.S. from 1953 to 1963. CD stood for Civil Defense and was taken very seriously in the 50’s and 60’s due to the communist “red scare.” As Fred mentioned, there is no way to natively style radio buttons in regards to color, size, etcc. But you can use CSS Pseudo elements to setup an impostor of any given radio button, and style it. Touching on what JamieD said, on how we can use the :after Pseudo element, you can use both :before and :after to achieve a desirable look.
