It’s also for you if you want the best possible control over the new Neural Mix function in djay Pro. You’ll need to be prepared to tolerate only having control over two of the three EQs from the unit itself (which we didn’t like at all) – and you’ll have to be cool with paying slightly over the odds for it. Auto loop, like Hot Cues, works similarly to how it does on other controllers. In particular, it is almost a replica of the loop encoder feature, essentially giving you two separate options for loop control. Of course, Apple products aren’t the only method of connecting to Reloop Buddy. You can also tie your controller to an Android device. For Android, you’ll need an OTG (“on the go”) power adaptor; you plug the supplied USB-A to USB-B cable between the powered adaptor and the Reloop Buddy, and the appropriate lead (not supplied) between the OTG powered adaptor and your compatible Android device. The Slicer pad feature works by cutting the eight current beats and spreading them out across the various pads. From there, you’re able to essentially play from each beat based on their respective pad.

In Conclusion

Particularly with the effects, you will want to turn on the effects window and switch to show manual effects so you can see what you’re doing. But overall it’s all pretty intuitive.

Finally, if you don’t want to connect to a mobile device, you can always use the tried and true method of connecting with your laptop computer.

Know How

If you press the pad to its left, you’ll similarly create an auto loop, though it will be half of its supposed size. Hitting the pad to the right of it will create a loop that is twice its size. #3.
