Description

There isn’t a shade in this palette that I don’t love and use. That really is a rare thing to say. Layout And can say I enjoy all four for different reasons. Below are swatches of each the Tarte Tartelette, Tartelette in Bloom, Tartelette Toasted, and Tartelette Juicy. Which one(s) do I prefer the most? And that neutral undertone can easily be seen in the swatches. Yes it’s warm, but it is a very wearable warm toned palette. The warmest tones are housed in the middle and the other shades are more golden and brown. As you can see, pigmentation is great. One swipe of a finger gives you this result. The dark matte brown is a great staple and there are some good transition shades.

Look 1 – This is the first look that I tried with the palette. Needless to say, it is full on warm shades from the palette – it’s all about the burnt orange and metallic bronze. If you’re into warm shades you’re bound to love this. It’s basically autumn in a palette. All the shades of all the falling leaves are right here in this palette. The colours blend easily and mesh very well together – without getting muddy. Though not as easily as say, the shadows from Natasha Denona, but you get the gist. We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when Urban Decay Heat Eyeshadow Palette launched a few short months ago and it definitely remains the warmest, richest, and most pigmented selection of fiery nudes around. It in fact might have you questioning of you need the Tarte Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette if you already own Heat.

The product consists of a metallic gold case. It has good weight to it and feels luxurious. It would make a great gift item for the Holiday season – by the look of it. The palette has a full size (full size of the palette) mirror and 12 eyeshadows. Each eyeshadow has the brand name embossed in it. There is no brush/applicator. The palette has shade names of the individual shadows mentioned underneath the shadow itself. It comes with a coordinated cardboard exterior box which has the ingredients listed on it in detail. My Experience with Tarte Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette: Latte: Described by the brand as a Tan. This is a light to medium brown with warm golden undertones and a matte finish. It is quite powdery – like Cashmere. It has good pigmentation. It can sheer out easily which is counter-productive if you are using it on the id – but great if you are using it as a transition shade. Beauty editors and the makeup obsessed are well acquainted with Tarte, the American, vegan and cruelty-free brand known for its shape tape concealer, makeup sets, and long-wearing formulas. With incredible new releases constantly coming our way, you might be left wondering where you can get your hands on the products in the UK. Eyeshadow palettes: my one true makeup love. And I have been acquiring a few again. I plan to review them all and one of those new additions to my makeup collection is Tarte’s Tartelette Toasted eyeshadow palette. Everyone went crazy for warm toned shadows in 2017 and Tarte was a little bit late to hop on the bandwagon. However, the Tartelette palettes are some of their most popular and the In Bloom version is one of my all time favorite palettes. Will I love Toasted just as much? For my first look I am going super warm. I focused on using the middle row mostly. With these super warm looks, while they make my eyes look more brown, I also feel they make me look quite pasty, so I try to go in with a bit of eyeliner to make my eyes stand out more. That way, I feel a look like this pops more and really adds that sultry aspect to it that makes these looks work.

I can't tell you which ones to buy because that's 100% up to you and your needs when it comes to makeup. Do you prefer an all matte neutral eyeshadow palette? A neutral palette with some shimmers? A palette with all warm tones? Or a palette with a focus on rosy shades with some neutrals and bronzes? Warmth: Described by the brand as a terracotta. The shade of the hour (if not the year) – a medium, warm-toned, burnt orange shade – but kind of muted, instead of being bright. It had good pigmentation but was again powdery – though not as bad as Cashmere. The texture itself is quite smooth and easy to work with. charmer Ingredients: Talc, mica, silica, zinc stearate, boron nitride, ethylhexyl palmitate, sodium dehydroacetate, caprylyl glycol, phenoxyethanol, vanillin, caprylic/capric triglyceride, hexylene glycol, vanilla planifolia fruit extract, kaolin, carmine (CI 75470), titanium dioxide (CI 77891), iron oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499). Sunset: Described by the brand as a bronze color. This is a medium golden copper shade with a metallic sheen. It is smooth and creamy with good pigmentation. Works very well all over the lid with a darker shade in the crease/outer V or both.

A fair note of what I've observed over the last few years: These Tarte Tartelette Eyeshadow Palettes seem to go on sale at least one a year, if not more. Pigmentation for most shades is really good. Two shades, Cashmere and Latet – part from being quite powdery, also sheer out quite easily which becomes a bit painful when being used on the lid, but work well when being used as a transition shade. Having said that, I am not sure that it is a miss from the lab/manufacturing perspective or it is by design. Meaning, are the shades low in pigmentation and easy to sheer out by accident or on purpose. Because the shades which have this concern have more than one use in the palette and the fact that they can sheer out actually works well for the palette. The shades blend well and mesh well with the other eye shadows without getting muddy, but it isn’t as effortless as say, the shadows from Natasha Denona or Viseart. smarty pants Ingredients: Talc, mica, silica, boron nitride, zinc stearate, ethylhexyl palmitate, sodium dehydroacetate, caprylyl glycol, phenoxyethanol, vanillin, caprylic/capric triglyceride, hexylene glycol, vanilla planifolia fruit extract, kaolin, manganese violet (CI 77742), iron oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499). The latest addition in the Tartelette family is Tartelette Juicy! This 12 pan eyeshadow palette features a rosy color palette with gorgeous bronzes and neutrals. I have a full look of this eyeshadow palette here! I apply eyeshadows with a primer because my lids are way too oily. These shadows lasted a good 8-9 hours with primer. Without primer, my eyelids turn everything to mush. It would be especially bad for these shades coz of the softness of texture of these shadows.Eyeshadow palettes can take your look to the next level, whether you are going for the no-makeup makeup look, full-out glam, or somewhere in between! Makeup eye shadow can completely transform your eyes, enhance your natural eye color, or simply call attention toward your eyes. With our eyeshadow palettes, you can create an iconic look all your own! Fireside: Described by the brand as a Deep Plum. I don’t know how it seems plum to Tarte. The deepest shade in the palette. This is a dark, deep, dirty brown shade with a matte finish. It has good pigmentation and works very well to deepen the eye look or even as an eyeliner. Simmer: Described by the brand as a Copper. This is a medium, warm copper with a metallic sheen. It is smooth and has good pigmentation. The shade is so similar to the shade Sunset – it makes me wonder why there wasn’t a bit more variation between these two – to allow for a more varied eye look. You have to keep in mind that this is not a universally-usable palette. Women with deeper skin tones may find the shade variation not working for them. I think this is more suitable for light to medium complexions, even tan skin, but anyone deeper, should skip this. Texture: I have discussed the texture of each shade individually. All the shades seemed smooth and buttery. The mattes are quite powdery – some more than the others. Also, some shades can sheer out more easily when trying to blend. Having said that, most of the shades are extremely easy to work with. They apply smoothly and blend out easily onto the skin.
