You know, the more I use the new PAX the more I’m diggin it, and I was actually thinking last night that if my Crafty was dead this one would be my next choice to grab and take with me. It’s also very important that the vape is clean and there’s no residue around the bottom screen in the oven. I just got my new pax 2 & it does not draw at all. I’ve watched all the videos, etc, but no where does this seem to be a problem for others. f**k. I live in Central America so cannot return easily…. You’ll notice that the “screen” is not really a screen at all, it’s more of a stainless steel plate with grooves around the edges. These grooves are where the air flows through to the mouthpiece, so when they get a little gunked up with residue it can make it a little harder to pull from.

When you pull from it you need to take long, slow draws and I recommend the medium heat setting for best results. Then you’re doing something wrong! The Pax2 is an awesome investment. Try taking your Volcano out in public like the stealthy Pax2 can be taken. It is absolutely the best for its size.

Anyway, my main recommendation here is the caps because they are so cheap and honestly smell is a big problem for the Pax 2 (it’s a good smell, just very strong). Anyone wondering how to use a Pax 2 vaporizer should know that it couldn’t be any easier. The one press mouthpiece technology with the PAX 2 makes it very simple to operate. When first using the unit, the LED petals may seem a bit confusing and random but they are actually pretty intuitive: purple means the unit is heating, green means its fully heated and ready for vaping, and blue means it’s entering ‘cool down’ mode to conserve battery. There are two types of PAX users: those who sip, and those who rip. If you’re a sipper, the new model produces more vapor from a short ~2-4 second draw than the original, which is a bit above average. My wife is a sipper, and she was already happy using the original model, so she’s very happy with the new one (happy wife, happy life). Rippers will be pretty satisfied too, generally the longer you pull the more vapor you’ll get and it stays nice and smooth. Either way, drawing slowly is the key to great results.

Vapor does leak from the bottom and top of the unit and the smell lingers. If you are vaping outside, you would just need to conceal the dense vapor exhales to feel comfortable, but vaping inside discreetly would certainly be a challenge because of the distinct smell produced. Users that want little to no odor from their device while vaping, even indoors, prefer units like the Utillian Utillian 722. If you’re inclined to vape while you’re out in public, but you’d like to avoid attention you’d rather not have, then just use your Pax 3 vaporiser’s stealth mode. This option will minimise the temperature and dim all the indicator lights. This lets you vape with discretion when and where you please.

Taste, efficiency and vapor production are said to be improved with this lip-sensing feature, and I’d have to agree with that. The PAX 2 is tiny, and still has an oven which is 91% the size of the PAX 1. The fact that it is 30% smaller and 25% lighter than the original, is really impressive and the PAX 2 fits really nicely in your hand when vaping.

When the little piece of metal arrived, I loaded up my Pax 2 for a test drive. Wow, what an improvement: big clouds with good initial flavor and long sessions. It would be great to see someone giving a top three opinion for both flower and concentrate atomizer attachments. I would also want to know how you compare the quality to Portable Vapes and Vape Pens. I’ve tried each temp. setting and have made sure my bud is ground pretty well but I can’t see to get any kind of decent vapor. Overall, we are impressed with the improvements made with the PAX 2. It certainly is smaller, sleeker and more feminine-inspired than the original model but it is still very expensive. If having a sexy and innovative unit are the most important factors for you in a vaporizer, the PAX 2 fits the bill.
