A lot of people seem to think that Battle of the Bands ends with the Grand Final.

They are wrong. It ends with the Bandsoc Oscars.

The competition is sometimes rough; over the years we have been plagued with rivalry, fighting, missing judges, jealousy, Copper Rooms fucking us over, fun being outlawed, executive powers being misused, dads posting on the forum and even Dan Carlotta judging the final.

This isn't about those horrible things. This is about the good. The people who brought smiles to your weary faces after you braved the snow for the semi finals. The people who made you laugh out loud mid set, whether or not they intended to. The people who somehow knew all of your songs lyrics even though they'd only heard them once before. The newcomers and the veterans. The people who wanted to blow your mind and the people that just wanted to have a good time. The people who inspire you and the people you inspire.

After all, what is Bandsoc without all of you?
